EDGAR THOMAS BRITT

   SEVERN, N.C. – Funeral services for Edgar Thomas Britt, 82, who died last 
Monday, Feb. 1, were conducted Wednesday, February 4, at 2:30 p.m. in the 
Severn Baptist Church with the Rev. John Dean, pastor officiating. He was 
assisted by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery of Boykins and the Rev. Roland Pruitt of 
Murfreesboro. Interment was in the Severn Cemetery.

   Mr. Britt was a native and lifelong resident of Northampton County, N.C. 
and was a son of the late J.H.S. and Mrs. Elizabeth Pruden Britt. He was the 
husband of the late Mrs. Martha Sarah Fleetwood Britt. He was a farmer and 
member of Severn Baptist Church.

   Mr. Britt is survived by one daughter, Mrs. C.B. Rock, Jr., of Boykins; one 
son Dr. W. Fleetwood Britt of Murfreesboro, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Ruth 
Stephenson of Jackson, N.C.; two brothers, Mallory A. and Elijah F. Britt of 
Severn; five grandchildren and one great grandson.

   Active pallbearers were Jack Britt, Ralph Britt, J.J. Britt, Sam 
Stephenson, Thomas Stephenson, J.C. Stephenson, Jr., A.J. Harrell and Garland 
Barnes.

   Honorary pallbearers were member of the Bible Class and other friends.
