ASHBY CARL DeBERRY

   Ashby Carl DeBerry, 62, of Margarettsville, N.C., died at his home at 
midnight Thursday, May 30, after several years of ill health.

   He was a farmer and a member of the Sharon Methodist Church. His late parents 
were Junius Henry and Mrs. Frances Parker DeBerry of Northampton County, N.C.

   Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Callie Bryant DeBerry; one daughter, Mrs. R.D. 
Overby of Boykins; four sons, Carol L. DeBerry of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Foster 
F. DeBerry and Milton DeBerry of Margarettsville, and S/Sgt. John H. Deberry, 
USAF, of Robins AF Base, Ga.; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Louise 
DeBerry Francis of Richmond; and two brothers, H.M. DeBerry of Boykins and E.R. 
DeBerry of Richmond.

   Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Sharon 
Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
