Mrs. DeBerry was the daughter of the late Dr. Edward Randolph Parker and Clara Delia DeBerry Parker, of Southampton County, and was married to Junius Henry DeBerry, of Northampton County, N.C., who preceded her in death 22 years ago. She lived in Northampton County for 50 years, moving to Virginia seven years ago. She was a member of Sharon Methodist Church near Margarettsville, N.C. Surviving her are five sons, E.R. DeBerry of Richmond, H.M. DeBerry of Franklin, J.H. DeBerry of Conway, N.C., C.M. DeBerry of Emporia, and A.C. DeBerry of Margarettsville; one daughter, Mrs. J.H. Francis of Richmond, 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Franklin Baptist Church and the Rev. B.B. Bland of High Street Methodist Church. Interment was at Sharon Church Cemetery. A short service at the church preceded interment. Pallbearers were E.R., H.M., J.H. C.M., A.C. and Vaughan DeBerry.
