JANICE MEREDITH MARTIN FUTRELL

   BOYKINS - A funeral service for Mrs. Janice Martin Futrell, 46, of Boykins, 
was held Sunday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. at the Boykins Baptist Church by the Rev. 
James T. Campbell.
   Burial was in the Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins.
   Pallbearers were Bobby Poland, Clayton Connell, Bobby Carr, David C. Barnes, 
George C. Scott, Lewis Smith, T.R. Griffin and J.C. Stephenson.
   Mrs. Futrell died Saturday morning at Southampton Memorial Hospital after a 
long illness.
   A native of Northampton Co., N.C., she was the wife of Berder T. Futrell Sr. 
and a daughter of Coy Martin of Pendleton, N.C. and the late Mrs. Julia Gatling 
Martin.
   She was a member of the Boykins Baptist Church.
   In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. 
Julia Ann Jeffries of Franklin; three sons, Steve Futrell of Courtland, Berden T. 
Futrell Jr. of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Jan Meredith Futrell of Boykins; one 
sister, Mrs. Edna Earl Futrell of Woodland; two brothers, Edgar Lee Martin of 
Murfreesboro, and Alma Coy Martin of Pendleton; and one grandson Charles Wayne 
Jeffries.
