THELMA MARTIN HARRIS

  SEVERN, N.C. - A funeral service for Mrs. Thelma Martin Harris, 70, was held 
Sunday at 3 p.m. in Severn Baptist Church by the Rev. Randolph Phillips with 
burial in Severn Cemetery.

  A native of Northampton County, she was the wife of Newit (Gus) Harris. She 
was a member of Severn Baptist Church.

  Pallbearers were Jack Britt, royal Watson, Parker Watson, Garland Barnes, 
Welford Barkley, Atwood Long, Melvin Mann and Lynwood Bridges

  Survivors include a daughter, Miss Janet Rebecca Harris of Severn; a son, 
Stanley Maurice Harris of Courtland; three sisters, Mrs. Velesta Mann of 
Pendleton, Mrs. Fannie Carter of Hunterdale, and Mrs. Janice Chitty of 
Murfreesboro; a brother, coy martin of Pendleton; and two grandchildren, Miss 
Patricia Ann Harris and Miss Jane Marie Harris of Courtland.

  McDowell Funeral Home of Boykins has charge.
