Hart, and a former resident of Boykins, died quietly in her sleep, Saturday morning, August 14. She is survived by one brother, H.L. Joyner of Jackson, N.C., several nieces and nephews and step-children. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, August 15, at the Purviance Funeral Home at 5:00 o’clock, with the Rev. L.F. Callaham, pastor of the Boykins Methodist Church, officiating. Mrs. H.F. McCoy, accompanied by Mrs. E.W. Bryant sang :It’s Goodnight Down Here and Good Morning Up There.” Active pallbearers were: J.M. Britt, R.E. Barrett, Jr., B.R. Bryant, H.T. Smith, Garland Grubbs and J.G. Hart, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Burial was in the town cemetery at Seaboard, N.C.
