SARAH MOUNTFORD HOOVER

   SEDLEY – A funeral service for Mrs. Sarah Mountford Hoover was conducted 
Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Wrenn-O-Neal Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, N.C. by the Rev. 
Clyde P. Wheeler and the Rev. H. Cary. Burial was in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke 
Rapids.

   Mrs. Hoover, 58, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., died Saturday in her home.

   A native of Northampton County, N.C., she lived in Roanoke Rapids most of her 
life.

   She moved here three years ago.

   She was the widow of Dewey Lee Hoover and a daughter of Adnine and Mrs. Mary 
Frances Johnson.

   She was a member of the Christian Church.

   Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. E.B. McClanahan and Mrs. Marvin Simms of 
Sedley, Mrs. J.E. Smith and Mrs. Avery Carruth of Houston, Tex., Mrs. L.T. Gates 
of Suffolk, and Mrs. Woodrow Harris of Norfolk.
