   DIED, on Sunday morning, the 17th instant, at his seat of Mount Gallant in 
the County of Northampton, GEN. ALLEN JONES. Our Revolution found him a man, 
and during the whole course of the rise and progress, he acted a manly and 
conspicuous part on the side of his country. That spirit of freedom and 
independence which then guided his conduct never forsook him; his opinion was 
honestly entertained, and he was ever ready, openly and candidly, to avow 
them. The same liberty he claimed for himself he was ready at all times to 
allow others.
