OTIS RAY JOYNER

OTIS JOYNER FUNERAL IS HELD IN BOYKINS

  SUFFOLK - A funeral service for Otis Ray Joyner, 71, of 308 W. Riverview Drive, 
Suffolk was held Friday at 2 p.m. in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. 
Kenneth E. Whetzel.

  Pallbearers were Hunter M. Haynes, E.C. Francis Jr., Walter F. Story, Aubrey 
Woodard, E. Martin Harrrell, James L. McLemore Jr., E. Causey Luke, James F. 
Murphy, Dr. Matt Futrell and John McFall.

  Joyner died Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

  A native of Severn, N.C., He was the husband of Mrs. Antoinette Woodard Joyner 
and a son of Dr. Thadeous Otis Joyner and Mrs. Ida May Sykes Joyner.

  He retired after 40 years with Virginia National Bank.

  He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and its Men's Club.

  Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Albert H. Francis of Hampton; 
a brother, Leon G. Joyner of Suffolk; and two grandchildren.
