She was the daughter of Dr. H.W. Lewis and the late Mrs. Sallie Ridley Lewis of Jackson, N.C. Besides her father she is survived by two brothers, H. Stuart Lewis of Suffolk, and E. Wilkins Lewis of Jackson, N.C., a half-sister, Mrs. T.B. Yulele of New York City and a half-brother, J.J. Long of Norfolk. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at The Church of The Savior, and were conducted by the Rector, Rev. D.P. Moore. Interment was in the family plot in the Episcopal churchyard at Jackson. Miss Lewis is closely related to the Ridleys of Southampton. Her grandfather having been the late Hon. Robert Ridley, a distinguished lawyer of his day, who several times represented SouthamptonCounty in the Legislature and was a member of the first convention called to amend the State Constitution.
