She was the wife of G.K. Marshall of Petersburg, and the daughter of the late S.B. Coggin and Mrs. Lula Smith Coggin of Franklin. Mrs. Marshall’s body was brought to Franklin and taken to the funeral home of W.J.M. Holland & Sons. Besides her husband, she is survived by one sister, Miss Annie Mae Coggin of Richmond; five brothers, J.E. Coggin of Philadelphia; S.E. Coggin of Norfolk; W.M. Coggin of Richmond; J.G. Coggin of Petersburg, and R.M. Coggin of Warsaw, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Holland chapel last Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. J.W. Reynolds of Highland M.E. Church, Petersburg, in which the deceased held active membership, the Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Franklin Baptist Church and the Rev. A. McK. Reynolds of High Street M.E. Church, Franklin, assisting. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. C.E. Brown and A.C. Rawls of Franklin were among the pallbearers.
