I, P. 8 BENJAMIN ROGER MILLIKIN Funeral services for Benjamin Roger Millikin, 65, were conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the chapel of the H.M. Purviance Funeral Home with Rev. William S. Ferguson, Jr., pastor ofo the Boykins Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. C.A. McCormick, Jr., pastor of the Courtland Methodist Church. Interment was in the Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Mr. Millikin, grocer and seafood merchant, died Sunday, February 10, at a Norfolk hospital. He was a native of North Carolina, but had lived in Boykins most of his life. He was the husband of Mrs. Emma White Millikin and the son of the late Joseph Henry and Mrs. Clara Parker Millikin. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Benjamin; two daughters, Mrs. Corinne M. Williams and Mrs. Ethel M. Westbrook of Courtland; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Harris of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and Mrs. Gladys Carroll of Rocky Mount, N.C.; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Boykins Methodist Church. Active pallbearers were Rod Jordan, Carl Edwards, David Rawls, Ray Jordan, Frank Long and Cade Rogers.
