JACK NELSON

   Jack Nelson, 20, died suddenly Friday, March 1, about 1 a.m. at his home in 
Boykins. A native of Northampton County, N.C., he had lived in Boykins for about 
two and a half years. He was employed as a clerk for the Boocke Drug Company.

   Surviving are his father, John William Nelson of Ahoskie, N.C.; his foster 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Johnson of Conway, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Mittie 
Barnes of Seaboard, N.C., Mrs. Hazel Pope of Boykins and Mrs. Margie Burgess of 
Conway, N.C.; two brothers, John W. Nelson, Jr., with the U.S. Army in Germany, 
and C.F. Johnson of Conway, N.C.; his parental grandmother, Mrs. Addie Nelson of 
Ahoskie, and a number of nieces and nephews.
