FANNIE M. SMITH NEWSOME

   Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie M. Newsome, age 76, who died at the home of 
her son, J.R. Newsome, were held at Roanoke Baptist Church near Seaboard, N.C., 
Tuesday, July 2.

   Mrs. Newsome until about three weeks prior to her death had made her home 
with her son, J.L. Newsome, in Newport News. She had been in declining health 
for several years but was only confinded to her bed a few days.

   She is survived by three sons, W.E. Newsome of Pitecasi, J.L. Newsome of 
Newport News and J.R. Newsome of Branchville.
