MARY HILDA PRUDEN

   Miss Mary Hilda Pruden, 68, of Severn, N.C. died at 6:30 o’clock on Sunday, 
November 9, at the Ahoskie, N.C., hospital.

   She is survived by two brothers, Gordon A. Pruden of Severn, N.C., and G. 
Stanley Prucen of Raleigh, N.C.; and three sisters, Mrs. Jessie P. Spence and 
Mrs. G.R. Stephenson of Severn and Mrs. Verona Hoggard of Boykins.

   Funeral services were conducted at the Severn Baptist Church on Monday 
afternoon at 3 o’clock by Rev. J.C. Ray, pastor of the deceased. The choir sang 
“There’ll Be No Dark Valley” and “Abide with Me.” Mrs. H.M. Purviance, with Mrs. 
K.E. Stokes at the organ, sang “Sunrise Tomorrow.” Interment was in the Severn 
Cemetery.

   Honorary pallbearers were members of the T.E.L. class of the Severn Baptist 
Sunday School, of which the deceased was a member. Active pallbearers were 
Dudley Barnes, Earl W. Bryant, J.T. Johnson, Douglas Pruden, James Pruden 
Stephenson, Wallis and Willis Stephenson, and E.K. White.
