Miss Ridley, who was educated in a girls’ school in Suffolk, spent her entire life at the family home, “Bloomfield,” near Boykins, before going to Woodland last fall to live with her cousin, Judge W.H.S. Burgwyn, and Mrs. Burgwyn. She is survived by numerous cousins, many to them in southeastern Virginia. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at three o’clock at the Burgwyn residence in Woodland by Rev. D.P. Moore, rector of the Church of the Savior, Jackson, N.C., and Rev. N.W. Grant, pastor of the Woodland Methodist Church. Burial was in Rock Springs, the family cemetery in Southampton County.
