CHARLES DAVID SPENCER

   Funeral services for Charles David Spencer who died June 15, at the Roanoke 
Rapids Hospital were held at the Severn Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon June 
16, with the Pastor, Rev. A.W.H. Jones, assisted by Rev. Frank B. Handley and 
Rev. R.L. Haga of Boykins, officiating. Interment was made in the Severn 
cemetery, the active pallbearers being: Hinton White, Joe Mack Long, Moring 
Stephenson, John Hoggard, Julian Porter, Reginald Long, Percy Tyler and Dudley 
Barnes.

   Mr. Spencer was 21 years old, the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Spencer of Severn 
and besides his parents is survived by one sister, Miss Winifred Spencer of 
Severn, two brothers, W.E. Spencer of Boykins and Millard Spencer of Severn.
