EFFA PARKER WATSON

   Mrs. Effa Parker Watson, 77, of Severn, N.C., daughter of the late William 
and Sarah Duke Parker of Severn, died at the residence at 5 o’clock Sunday 
morning, March 22, after a lingering illness.

   She is survived by a son, Royal P. Watson of Severn; two daughter, Mrs. M.A. 
Britt and Mrs. Rufus D. Johnson, both of Severn; one sister, Mrs. J.R. Parker of 
Murfreesboro; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

   The deceased was a member of the Severn Baptist Church and the T.E.L. class 
of that church.

   Services were held at the residence on Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, with 
Rev. J.C. Ray, pastor of the Severn Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by 
Rev. E.R. Shuller, pastor of the Severn Methodist Church. Burial was in the 
Severn Cemetery.
