Northampton County, NC - Wills - Bryant, Robert William - 1932 Will of Robert William Bryant North Carolina, Northampton County. I, Robert Bryant, of the aforesaid State and County, being of sound mind, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last Will and Testament: Item I. My executors, hereinafter named, shall give my body a decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives, and pay all funeral expenses, together with my just debts, out of the first money which may come into their hands belonging to my estate. Item II. To my son, Joe D. Bryant, I give, devise and bequeath, in fee simple, that part of my "Joe Hall Tract" in Rich Square Township, Northampton County, North Carolina, lying and being on the West side of Mill Branch, adjoining the lands of Jesse Belch and Marvin Williams, provided he shall pay over to my daughter, Ellen C. Lane, the sum of FIFTEEN HUNDRED ($1500.00) DOLLARS in lieu of her interest in said land. Item III. To my son, William Jarvis Bryant, I give, devise and bequeath, in fee simple, that part of my "Joe Hall Tract" which lies on the East side of said Mill Branch, including the Swamp Field, beginning at the run of said Mill Branch and running the ditch near the middle of thee field to the end of said ditch and then the same course of the ditch, across the woodland a straight line to E. W. Bryant's line. The graveyard on the North end of the Swamp Field, of about one-quarter of an acre, wher J. S. Weston's two children are buried, is excepted and not devised to my said son, William Jarvis Bryant. My said son, William Jarvis Bryant, is to pay over to my said daughter, Ellen C. Lane, the sum of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY ($250.00) Dollars in lieu of her intrest in this tract herein devised to my said son, William Jarvis Bryant. Item IV. To my daughter, Mary C. E. Bryant. She is to pay over to my daughter, Ellen C. Lane, the sum of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY ($250.00) DOLLARS in lieu of her intrest in this tract. The amounts hereinabove set out to be paid over to my said daughter, Ellen C. Lane in Items Two, Three and Four of this my Will shall be a special charge against the lands devised therein, and I direct that said respective amounts be paid over to my said daughter, Ellen C. Lane, in cash for the reason that I have not devised to her any of my real estate. Item V. I devise to J. B. Weston the graveyard tract of about one quarter of an acre in the North end of the Swamp Field where his two children are buried, to him and his heirs in fee simple. Item VI. Whereas, I hold a certian note executed by J. B. Weston secured by deed of trust on real estate on which there is approximately $1300.00 now due: and whereas it is my will and desire that J. B. Weston shall not be embarassed in the collection of said note, if the same be not fully paid at the time of my death: I now, therefore, direct that my said executors, hereinafter named, shall extend the time of payment therof from time to time until such time as it is necessary to make final settlement of my estate, provided said J. B. Weston shall pay the legal rate of intrest due thereon. ItemVII.
