Burn William Burn’s Will Record Book 2, page 43, Northampton Co., NC In the name of God Amen I William Burn of Northampton County and State of North Carolina, do make constitute and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following Viz first I recommend my body to the Earth from whence it came, and my Soul to God that gave it and for the preventing and disputes that may arise I make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz First, I give and bequeath to my son Barnaba Burn all my working Tools such as hand saw, Chizels, Wedges & one Iron pott one Mare one feather bed and furniture. 2nd, I give to my Son William Burn one bed and furniture one Iron pott and one Bay Horse. 3rd, I give to my Son in law Jiles Parker one Rone Horse one feather bed and furniture. 4th, I give to my Son James Burn one feather bed and furniture; all my stock of Cattle, after my wifes decease, I leave to be equally divided between Barnaba & William and Jiles, I give to my wife Elizabeth one pewter Dish one Bason, five plates eight Spoons. Lastly I do nominate Jiles Parker and Barnaba Burn to be my executor to this my last Will & Testament hereby depending on them to truly and honestly fulfill the same. In Witness whereof I the said William Burn hath hereunto set my Hand and Seal this 20th day of October 1793.
