James Clark's Will

In the name of God, Amen.  I James Clark of Northampton county in North
Carolina do make & ordain this my last will & testament hereby Revoking 
all other wills heretofore by me made first of all I desire that my Just 
debts be paid & I may be decently buried at the discretion of Exos.
Hereafter mentioned & for the rest of my Estate I give and Dispose of in
manner following(Viz,

I give to my daughter Silviah Cook my negro wench Anniker & her increase
with one bed & furniture to her & her heirs & assigns forever

I give to my daughter Mary Cook one negro wench & children by the name of
Cato & Hannah which she hath in her possession with their increase to her 
& her heirs & assigns forever.

Item.  I give to my daughter Charity Fennell one negro wench by the name of
Lettice with her Increase also one bed & furniture to her & her heirs & 
assigns forever.

Item.  I give to my daughter Sarah Jordan one negro fellow by the name of
little Sharper also two cows & calves to her & her heirs & assigns forever.

Item.  I give to my daughter Angelina Clark two negro girls by the names of
Notice & Tinah with their increase also one bed & furniture to her & her 
heirs & assigns forever.

Item. I give to my daughter Nancy Clark one negro girl Dinah & her
increase.  Also as much cash as shall purchase her one other negro girl of 
the age of fourteen also one bed and furniture to her & her heirs & assigns 
forever.

Item.  I give to daughter Patsey Clark two negroes by the name of Tim &
Fanny with her increase also one bed & furniture to her & her heirs & assigns 
forever.

Item.  I give to my daughter Elizabeth Clark three negroes by the names of
little Hannah, Milly & Jenny with their increase also one horse of about 
twelve pounds price in specie to her & her heirs & assigns forever.

Item.  I give unto my son James Watkins Clark all my land also four negroes
towit. Violet, Lewis, Brick, & Inpeter(?) With their increase also one Desk, 
one Fowling(?) Table, one bed & furniture three sows & pigs, one looking 
glass, one case of bottles one grinding stone also his choice of all
the Horses at his mother's Death or marriage to him & his heirs & assigns
forever.

Item.  I give to my grandson James Clark Fennell one year old colt when he
comes to the age of eight years old.

Item.  I give to my beloved wife three negroes (to wit) Great Sharper,
Great Hannah & Nancy & their increase to her & her heirs & assigns forever.  
I also lend her in order to raise & school my children the use of my land & 
Plantation also the use of all my children's Negroes till they shall come 
to the age of twenty one or marry during her widowhood or death I will
that all the rest of my Estate not given may be Equally divided between all 
my children & wife In case she married, I nominated & appoint Isham Fennell 
& Jesse Jordan Executors of this my last Will & Testament in witness whereof 
I have hereunto set my hand & affixt my seal this third day of November 1781.
