SOLOMON DELOACH WILL


      In the Name of God Amen.  I Solomon Deloach of Northampton County & 
State of North Carolina, being in a very low state of Health at present, but 
of perfect mind and Memory, I desire to make this my Will and Testament in 
manner & form following, and first of all I commit my Body to the Dust from 
whence it was taken, and my Soul to God that gave it, to be disposed of 
according to his Will, and as it doth please God to bestow some of his Worldly 
Goods upon me, I desire to dispose of it in manner and form following, Viz.  
Item, first I desire that all my just Debts may be settled as Item first I 
desire that the whole of my Land five hundred & ninety nine Acres be equally 
divided between my Sons Jesse Deloach, William Deloach and the whole of the 
remainder of my Estate, I desire it may be equally divided amongst the whole 
of my Children Lawfully begotten of my Body, and I do nominate and appoint my 
Brother Francis Deloach, and my wife Salley Deloach to be my Executors to this 
my last Will & Testament, whereunto I have set my hand & affixed my Seal this 
26th day of December 1799.

      The Will was proved by the Oath of James Harris at the same time Francis 
Deloatch qualified Executor hereto.  Ordered to be certified and Recorded.

Note:  Solomon DeLoach/DeLoatch was the son of Frances and Charlotte Hart 
DeLoatch.  In the will, all names were spelled Deloach throughout, but his 
brother's name was spelled Frances Deloatch by the court.
