Northampton County, NC - Wills - FUTRELL, Jesse-1867 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jason Schisel Jesse Futrell Will In the name of God, Amen. I Jesse Futrell of the County of Northampton and State of North Carolina being old and feeble, but of sound mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament. First, after paying any just debts, I loan all my property of every description to my wife Abegail Futrell during her life. Secondly, At the death of my wife I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally Brazell the first choice of hay (?) beds, bedstraw and furniture, to her and her heirs. Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha Ann Vaughan the bed, bedstraw and furniture which she now has in her possession, to her and her heirs. Fourthly, I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Wade one bed, bedstraw and furniture, Fifthly, I give and bequeath to the children of my deceased son Henry Futrell fifteen dollars. Sixthly, I give and bequeath to my son Jesse J. Futrell fifteen dollars to him and his heirs. Seventhly, I give and bequeath to my grandson John Futrell son of Henry Futrell decd., my shot gun to him and his heirs. Eightly, The balance of my property of every description, I wish to be sold and divided between all my living children to share and share alike, and if any are dead leaving children, then the parent's* portion or one share to such children, to them and their heirs.
