Byrd In the name of God Amen I, Sampson Futrelle of the County of Northampton and State of North Carolina, being sick and weak in body but in sound sense and disposing memory of mind do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following-- My will and desire is that all my just debts be paid Item: I lend unto my beloved wife Sabry Futrelle one Mare, bridle and saddle, one Cow and Calf one Sow and Pigs also one feather bed and furniture, also one woolen wheel, also one linnen wheel, also one pot, also one pan, also one skillet, also half dozen of Pewter plates, also one dish, also half dozen of crocry, also one table also one chest, also one axe and weeding hoe, also one pony and gear, also one tub and pail, also half dozen earthen plates, also one third of the crop now growing and after her marriage or dath shal be eqal divided betwich my said children Jason Futrelle, John Futrelle, Lewis Futrelle, Malicah Futrelle, William Futrelle-- Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Jason Futrelle one feather bed and furniture--also one sow and pigs also one cow and calf and one plow hoe and ax also my carpenter tools to him and his heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son John Futrelle one horse colt, also one feather bed and furniture, also one ax and weeding hoe and plow hoe, also one negro boy by the name of Edwin to him and his heirs forever if he sud die without lawful heir begoten of his body shall decend to to the rest of his brothers. Item: I give and bequeath my son Lewis Futrelle one cow and calf also one feather bed and furniture, also one ax, also one weeding hoe, also one plow hoe also one gun to him and his heirs forever.
