Northampton County, NC - Wills - Hart, Thomas-1747 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Vikki Highfield To all to whom these Presents shall come I THOMAS HART of Northampton County in the Province afsd _ _ _ Know ye that I the said THOMAS HART for and In consideration of the Good Will and Affection which I have and bear unto my daughter JEAN BROWN of the said county afd do by these Presents freely and Absolutely Give and Grant unto the said JANE BROWN her Heirs and Assigns forever one Messuage(?) or Parcel of Land Containing by Estimation two hund. Acres be the _ more or Less Situate Lying and being in the County of Northampton on the North side of the Indian Swamp Beginning in RICHARD MELTONs Survey at a Cypress in the said Indian Swamp thence along a row of Marked Trees to a black Oak in the Lead Line then along that to a Gum thence down MELTONs lower Line to SAMUEL SIZEMOREs Corner then along the said Line to a black Oak then along a Main Line to a red Oak in the Spring branch then along said branch to the Swamp then up the water Course of the Swamp to the first Station Together with all Houses Gardens Orchards Fences woods underwood and all other Premises thereunto belonging in any wise appertaining with the Reversion and Reversions remainder and remainders unto rents _ and profits thereof & of every part and Parcell thereof To Have and to Hold the said Two Hundred Acres with all & Singular the Premises hereby Granted unto the said Jean Brown and to the only Proper use benefit and behoof of the said JEAN BROWN her Heirs and Assigns forever and Furthermore I the said Thos. Hart for myself my Heirs Exrs. and Administrators do Covenant and agree to and with the said JEAN BROWN her Heirs and Assigns that at the time of Ensealing & Delivery hereof I the said THOS HART am Lawfully Seized and possessed of the said Land and Premises as na Absolute Estate of inheritance in fee Simple and have in myself good right full Power to Dispose of the Same in manner as afsd and that the said JEAN BROWN her Heirs and Assigns shall and may from time to time and at all Times forever hereafter hold use Occupy possess & Enjoy the above Granted Premises peaceably & Quietly without any _ _ Trouble interruption or Denial of me the said THOS. HART my Heirs Exrs or Admrs of any other Person or Persons Claiming by from or under them or any of them. In Witness whereof I the said THOS. HART hath hereunto put my Hand and Seal this twenty Seventh day of May one thousand seven Hundred & forty Seven. THOS. HART and a Seal.
