Northampton County, NC - Wills - Mary Jean-14 July 1801 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Pam Jeans Faye Jeans Parker In the name of God Amen, I Mary Jean of the county of Northampton being sick and weak but in sound mind thanks be unto God. Calling unto mind the mortality of my body of knowing that is is appointed for all flesh to dy do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principle and first of all I recommend my sole into the hands of All Mighty God that gaveth my body I recommmend to the earth to be buried in decent form at the discretion of my Executor's nothing doubting but at the general resurection I shall recieve the same I gain by the Mighty Power of God asking such worldly estate as it have pledged God to help me with in this life give. Advise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form first I give and bequesth unto ___ Item I give unto my main brother Samuel Wornium my mare and sadle to him and his heirs forever. Item I give unto my beloved sister Jean Williams by bed and furniture and my coats my bull, cows and yearling and fore the best of my hogs well fattened and my trunk and two pewter basins to her and heirs forever. Item I give unto my nephew Samuel Wornium Esq. my chairs fo him and his heirs forever. Item I give unto my beloved sister Jane Williams and my sister Ann Wornium all my waring apparel to be equally devided between them and their heirs forever. Item I give unto my beloved friend Young Johnson all the residue of my property let it consist of what it may to him and his heirs forever. Item I unto my friend Young Johnson the coals that my mare is in wil fold with by Captain Haynes horse to him and his heirs forever. Like wise I appoint Samuel Wornium and Young Johnson my sole executors of this my last will and testament and I do hear by dipose all wills legesey hear to fore made by me confirming that this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament. Hear unto set my hand and seal this the fourteenth of July one thousand eight hundred and one signed sealed in the presence of each of us.
