Lewter McDaniel NORTH CAROLINA NORTHAMPTON COUNTY In re: The Will of Lewter McDaniel Mrs. Essie McDaniel, the principle beneficiary named in the Will of Lewter McDaniel, this day comes into Court and presents same for probate as the Last Will and Testament of the said Lewter McDaniel, deceased; And it is thereupon proved by the oath and examination of Mrs. Estelle Vick Taylor that the said Will was found among the valuable papers and effects of the said Lewter McDaniel, after his death, the facts in relation thereto being as follows: That Lewter McDaniel died on October 29, 1938; that on November 23, 1938 this affiant was with Mrs. Essie McDaniel, widow of the said Lewter McDaniel, in the home lately occupied by the said Lewter McDaniel, as his residence; that this affiant was assisting the said Mrs. Essie McDaniel in examination of the valuable papers and effects of the said Lewter McDaniel which has been stored in a trunk under lock and key, and that in a bundle of papers in said trunk, which papers consisted of deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust and like and similar papers and instruments of value, this affiant and the said Mrs. Essie McDaniel found the paper writing which is attached to this affidavit and offered for probate; And it is furthered proved by the oath and examination of three competent and credible witness, to-wit: Mrs. Estelle Vick Taylor, R. M. Griffin and C. J. Vaughn that they are acquainted with the handwriting of the said Lewter McDaniel having often seen him write, and verily believe that the name of the said Lewter McDaniel, subscribed to the said Will, and the said Will itself, and every part thereof, is in the handwriting of the said Lewter McDaniel. And it is further proved by the oath and examination of the three last mentioned witnesses, that the handwriting is generally known to the acquaintances of the said Lewter McDaniel.
