Northampton County, NC - Will of Lazarus Revel, 1808 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the name of God, Amen. I, Lazarus Revel, of the state of North Carolina and county of Northampton being weak in body but of sound mind & memory, blessed be God, do this 28th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & seven, make and publish this my last Will & Testament, in manner following, that is to say: Item, I give & devise unto my loving wife, Anne Revel, my son Hezekiah Revel, my daughter Dolley Revel, & my son Harrison V. Revel, all my land & plantation whereon I now live, to be divided amongst them, share & share alike, to them & their heirs forever. Item, I lend unto my loving wife, Anne Revel, my sorrel horse, untill my son Hesekiah Revel comes to lawful age, at which time, I give & bequeath unto my said son Hesekiah Revel my said sorrel horse, my new saddle & bridle, to him & his heirs forever. Item, I give & bequeath unto my loving wife, Anne Revel, all my stock of cattle & hogs & my sorrel mare & all the money I now have in hand, together with all my personal estate that I am now possessed with, to her & her heirz forever, And I hereby make & ordain my loving wife Anne Revel Exectr of this my last Will & Testament. In witness whereof the said Lazarus Revel have to this my last Will & Testament set my hand & seal the day & year above written. Interlined before assigned in presence of R.
