This record is posted with the consent of Roger Kammerer compiler of The 
Onslow Register in which it appears of pages 70 and 71 of Vol. I.  It appeared 
in the notes of Tucker R. Littleton which indicated that it was taken from the 
Foy Book written by M. B. Jacobs.

 

This Bible has the notation "H. W. Foy's book, bought of Dawson, 
July 13, 1846."

Hiram W. Foy's Bible

Hiram W. Foy and Susannah Westbrook were married on the 23rd day of Dec. 1830.

Henrietta R. Foy, dau. of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy was married to J. 
Nicholson Pope the 18th day of Dec. 1851.

James M. Foy, son of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy was married to Jennette M. 
DeVane, dau. of Stewart DeVane, the 25th day of Jan. 1854.

Henrietta R. Pope, the widow of J. N. Pope, dec'd, was married to 
Wm. L. Jacobs, of Wilmington the 15th of April 1856.

Christiana V. Foy, dau. of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy, was married to 
Dr. John A. McKay, of Harnett Co., on the 5th day of Oct. 1858.

Joseph Henry Foy, son of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy, was married to Kate Battle
the 19th day of March 1860, in Wilson.

Hiram W. Foy, son of James and Henrietta Foy, was born the 
16th day of July 1810.

Susannah Foy, wife of Hiram W. Foy, and dau of Jesse and Susannah Westbrook, 
was born on the 1st day of March 1809.

James Madison Foy, son of Hiram and Susannah Foy, was born the 
19th day of Oct. 1832.

Henrietta Rhodes Foy, dau. of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy, was born the 
21st day of March 1836.

Joseph Henry Foy, son of Hiram and Susannah Foy, was born on the 
12th day of Sept. 1838.

Christiana Virginia Foy, dau. of Hiram and Susannah Foy, was Born on the 
26th day of Feb. 1842.

Susannah E. Pope, dau. of J. N. Pope and Henrietta R. Pope, his wife, was born 
on the 30th of Aug. 1852. She is a granddaughter of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy.

Nicholas Frederick Foy, son of James M. and Jennette M. Foy, was born the 
21st day of Dec. 1854.

Robert Franklin Foy, son of James M. and Jennette M. Foy was born the 
4th day of June in the year 1856.

Charles Deems Jacobs, son of Wm. L. and Henrietta Jacobs, was born the 
1st day of March 1857.

Susan E. Foy, dau. of James M. Foy and Jennette M. Foy, his wife, was born on 
the 26th day of Nov. 1857.

Alice Cleopatra Foy, dau. of James M. and Jennette M. Foy, was born the 
23rd day of Sept. 1859.

Mary Isabella McKay, dau. of Dr. John A. McKay and Christianna V. McKay, his 
wife, was born the 19th Oct. 1859.

Joseph Foy, son of Dr. John A. McKay and Christianna V. McKay, was born the 
6th day of May 1861.

John A., son of Dr. John A. McKay and Christiana V. McKay, was born 
June 3, 1863.

Susan Westbrook, dau. of Dr. John A. and Christiana V. McKay, was born 
July 27, 1866.

Henrietta Foy, widow of James Foy, died April 9th 1840, aged 63.

Two infant sons of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy died, the first in 1845, 
the second one in 1847.

Jacob N. Pope died the 17th Nov. 1852.

Susannah E. Pope dau. of J. N. Pope and Henrietta R. Pope, his wife, died the
20th day of April 1853. She was seven months and twenty one days old.

Henrietta R. Jacobs, wife of Wm. Jacobs, and dau. of Hiram W. and Susannah 
Foy, died on the 4th day of April 1858, aged 22 years and 14 days.

Susannah Foy, wife of Hiram W. Foy, died on the 14th day of Aug. 1859, 
aged 50 years and 5 months and 13 days.

Hiram W. Foy died on the 15th day of July 1860, aged 50 years.

Christiana V. McKay, dau. of Hiram W. and Susannah Foy, and wife of 
Dr. John A. McKay, died on the 11th day of June 1880, aged 58 years, 
3 months and 15 days.
