Contributor's Note: Samuel's parents were James King and Rebecca Davis. Asa King 
was his brother. Samuel served in the Civil War and was wounded in action. The 
Bible is in poor shape. It was published by J. L. Nichols and Co. of Atlanta, 
Ga. The copyright given is 1892. This Bible was in the possession of Lizzie King 
Humphrey until her death on 9 April 1970. She made the Bible entries for at 
least thirty years.
