TABERNACLE METHODIST CHURCH

     The early history of this church indicates it was one of seven in the 
Maysville Circuit of the Methodist church.  There was one minister shared by 
the seven congregations.  These included:  Maysville, Tabernacle, Calvary 
(White Oak River Road), Pollocksville, Lee's Chapel, Belgrade, and Hopewell 
(Highway 58 in Black Swamp area).
     The names listed below are only a few taken from membership rolls in old 
church records.  The records were provided by Mrs. Vida Banks and the names 
were selected and compiled by Kay Jordan Toler (1998).
