Let up at the court house on the 6th day of Nov 1933 also at the Torte of Rod 
Lloyds Meadow and at my gate this is a true copy of the above.

That on the 1st day of January next will be sold at the court house in Onslow 
County a certain Negro man named Peter, formerly the property of John Bender, 
Decd. Now belonging to the heirs of Martin Bender, decd on a credit of six 
months notes with approval curitiers will be required.

Salathine Potts & Wife & others…..Pet to sele nefor.

In this came appearing to the satisfaction of the court that advising of the 
buyer named in pet cannot be made without appl it and advised that Pesquation 
granter and that Thomas Hood adm of Martin Bender named by the court to make 
said sale after due advertisement of six mths credit profit to this court this 
proceedings.

Thos Hood guardian to Ammanda, Henry and Agustus Bender also power of attorney 
for Salathiel and Elizabeth Potts (his wife). Airing breech & wife Nancy 
Loftin and Ivey Bender Heirs at Law of Martin Bender decd. I want an order of 
court to will Peter to make a division among the above heirs.

We the worshifful the Justice of the Court of Pleas & Quarter Sep for the 
County aforesaid

The petition of Salathial Potts and Elizabeth his wife, Amanda, Henry and 
Agustus Bender infant, Thos Hood their guardian, Herring Creech & wife, Nancy 
Loftin Bender & Ivy Bender respectfully therewith that at distribution of one 
Martin Bender, they are entitled at least in common to a certain Negro named 
Peter that a decision cannot be made able a Sale be about of this court that 
Petition an division to make a division so as to become their respective share 
in severaty they therefore pray that afore of sail negor Petere may be made as 
to the direction under of this court that the property thereofe be divided so 
as to five each being their shares and in duty bound of.
