"Letters of Collectorship" for the estate of Louis O. Henderson, dec'd.  This 
petition was presented to the Probate Judge, A. C. Huggins.

In the Probate Court Before A. C. Huggins, Probate Judge

In the Matter of the application of Simon B. Taylor for Letters of 
Collectorship upon the estate of Louis O. Henderson

Simon B. Taylor Sworn dost Say, That Louis O. Henderson late of Said county, 
and That he is ignorant whether he died intestate or not. and that it is 
necessary for Some discreet person to be appointed collector upon his estate 
to collect and preserve the Same

Further that the property of Said Louis O. Henderson consisting of Court 
Judgments & notes is worth about $500.00 So far as Can be ascertained at the 
date of This application and that Mrs. Eldy Henderson the widow & L H 
Henderson brother of deceased are the parties entitled to the Said Property - - - -

Further that the Said Applicant Respectfully Requests that Letters of 
Collectorship be issued to him

This is the response of the court to Simon Taylor re: Letters of Collection on 
the estate of Louis O. Henderson.

State of North Carolina

Onslow County

Probate Court

Nov. 11th 1870

In the Matter of the application of Simon B. Taylor for Letters of Collection 
upon the estate of Louis O. Henderson deceased.

On hearing the application and it appearing that the Said Louis O. Henderson 
is dead, and that he has property in this State, which is liable to waste and 
that a delay is necessarily produced in granting Letters of Administration and 
that Simon B, Taylor is a proper [?] person to Whom Letters of Collection may 
be granted. It is ordered by the court that Letters of Collection be granted 
to the Said Simon B. Taylor upon the estate of the Said Louis O. Henderson 
dec'd on his taking the oath prescribed by law, and entering into bond in the 
Sum of Seven hundred Dollars.

Bond offered and approved with Thomas J. Jarman as Security - - - Who 
___________ with the Said Applicant 

Signed Sealed and delivered Said bond, Also oath prescribed taken and 
Subscribed, and Letters of Collection are now granted and issued to him
