E., p. 15 John & Elisabeth BRITIAN to Aaron PADRICK 9 May 1803 North Carolina, Onslow County To all people to whom that presents shall come, Greeting. Know ye that I John BRITAIN of the County and province aforesaid, planter for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds of the county and province aforesaid to me in hand paid by Aaron PATRICK of Onslow, Cooper the receipt whereof I do acknowledge and myself therewith fully satisfied and paid, have granted bargained and sold unto the said Aaron PATRICK a tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the county aforesaid and on the head of Wallace’s Creek opposite to Graces? Neck beginning at a Black Gum int he North side of the Branch dividing the same, then running N 13 W 126 poles to a pine then South 7 W to a branch of Wallace’s Creek, then the various courses of the Branch to the Mouth or fork of the Branch then the various courses of the (branch x’d out) Creek to the first station, containing One hundred acres as by patent obtained by Frances BURNS bearing date the 4th of December 1772. To Have and to Hold the said bargained land and premises thereunto belonging and the said John BRITAIN my heirs, execs., admins. or assigns to the said Aaron PADRICK, his heirs, and assigns Will warrant and forever defend before the unsealing and delivery of these presents that the said John BRITAIN here in myself good and lawful authority to dispose of the aforesaid land and all appurtenances thereunto-belonging and the said John BRITAIN do covenant and agree that the said PATRICK his heirs and assigns shall from time to time and at all times hereafter peaceably posses and enjoy the said land from all manner of encumbrances whatsoever, the Quit rents - only excepted to the said PATRICK nd I the said BRITAIN do warrant and forever defend the said land and premises from my heirs, execs., admirs or assigns forever.
