A, p. 367-368 To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come, Greetings, Know ye that I, the David Davis, Planter living upon the branch of Trent in Craven County for and in the consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds current bills? of the province of North Carolina paid before the unsealing and delivery hereof by William MILLS, Planter living in Onslow County of the —? and province the receipt whereof I do acknowledge and myself fully satisfied and contented have given bargained and sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said William MILLS his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract of land containing two hundred acres more or less lying and beginning at the mouth of a small branch in the south side of Vuilk? Swamp at a Red Oak then N 190 poles then W 220 poles to a pine then W? 170 poles to a pine MILLS line then S 74 E 217 poles to the first station. To have ant to hold the aforesaid bargained premises with all the privileges and consideration to the same belonging to him the said William MILLS his heirs and assigns forever and I the forbid David DAVIS convenient and bind myself my heirs and excel and admins. firmly by these presents to warrant and defend the fore said William MILLS his heirs and assigns in quiet and peaceable ——- of all and singular the aforesaid parcel of land against any just or lawful claims of any person or persons whatsoever.
