Bruce M. Henderson and wife Mary Henderson to Huey C. Carraway 1893

State of North Carolina, Onslow County

	This indenture made on the 26th day of December A.D. 1893 by
and between Bruce M. Henderson and wife Mary Henderson parties of the
first part and Huey C. Carraway of the second part all of the County
above & State of North Carolina.  Witnesseth that the said parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred &
fifty dollars paid to Bruce M. Henderson the receipt of which is
hersby acknowledged the said parties of the first part have hereby
granted bargained & sold granted conveyed and confirmed and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell grant grant and confirm unto the
party of the second part his heirs and assigns all that piece or
parcel of land or lot situated lying and being in the Town of
Jacksonville Onslow County and State aforesaid bounded as follows
by a street of said Town known as the Main street of said Town and 
being the same which leads from the bridge over the North West
prong of New River Eastward through the said Town and West by the 
public or Courthouse Sqaure or lot owned by Onslow County and 
North by a ditch dividing the lot herein described from Richard W.
Ward lands or lands claimed by him and East by the lot or front of
lot where B.M. Henderson's Livery Stables now stands being an area
of land with 42 ft. front forty two ft. front on Main street herein
before refered to and its Southern boundry and forty two ft. on the
back or North in the ditch and ---- feet on each the Eastern and 
Western sides a straight line except the back line which runs
with the said ditch the same being a part and parcel of which is known
as the Hargett lot and the portion of said lot to have and the said
Huey C. Carraway  his heirs and assignees in fee simple forever is
granted with all privilidges and appurntances in the same belonging
or in otherwise as per law except that the building on siad lot
heretofor described are not conveyed and the said parties of the
first part hereby reserve to themselves full and complete right
to remove or allow the same to be removed by the lawful owner
when registered to do upon notice of ten days from the said party
of the second part his heirs or assignees or to remove the said
building without such at their own without said notice or request
and the same parties of the first part hereto convenant to and 
with the said party of the second part for themselves their heirs
and assignees that said premises and land are free from all
incumberances and that said parties of the first part hereto have 
titled to the same all full and complete legal and equitable right
to convey the same manner and form as aforesaid and that they will
warrant and defend the title to the said same against the claim or
claims of any and all persons whatsover in witness whereof the said
parties of the first part have set hereto their hands and seals this
day month and year first above written.

	I C. gerrock Clerk of the Superior Court do herby Certify
that B.M. Henderson and Mary Henderson his wife appeared before him 
this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of
conveyance of the said Mary Henderson being by me personally
examined seperate and apart from her said husband touching her 
voluntairally execution of the same doth state that she signed the 
same freely and voluntairally without fear or compulsion of her
said husband or any other person and that she doth still voluntairally
assent thereto let the same with this certificate be registered.
