North Carolina Onslow County Warrant No. 889 dated 13th August 1851. Surveyed for Brice Morris sixty acres of land in said county joining Sanders, Melville & his own land. Beginning at a stake in the center of spruce pines then along Sanders line reverse to 5 Et twenty poles to his. Come then along the other line reverse to 63 Et sixty poles to Melville's line then along his line to 27 Wt sixty poles to a pine the corner in a meadow then along Melville's line to 88 Et thirty eight poles to a pine the corner in Morris then along said line to 8 Wt forty poles to a marked black gum in the head of Mulberry branch then to 76 Wt one hundred fifty poles to the pocoson then along the pocoson to the Begining. Coston Entry officer of claims for vacant lands in the county afore said to the Surveyor of said county you are hereby required to Survey for Brice Morris a tract of land in Onslow County containing one hundred acres adjoining the lands of D.. W. Sanders, the lands of Levi Melville and his own lands. Observing the direction of the act of Assembly in such case provided for running out lands. Two just and fair plans of Survey with a proper certificate annexed to each you are to transmit together with this warrant to the Secretary's office without delay.
