Know all men by these presents that I Houston Williams for and in 
consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid do 
bargain and sell, convey and confirm unto David G. Ward and William P. Ward 
his brother all my right, title & interest in the estate of Houston Roberts 
deceased consisting of land and negroes now in the possession of my 
Grandmother Margaret Newton so directed by the will of her former husband 
Houston Roberts and at her death to be divided among his children equally 
or among their representatives equally. I Houston Williams being the son of 
Boneta Williams the daughter of Houston Roberts and Margaret his wife. (My 
father and mother being dead) I do bargain sell convey confirm & do warrant 
and defend unto the said DG Ward and Wm P Ward their heirs, executors, 
administrators and assigns and from all other persons what so ever and from 
me my heirs executors, administrators and assigns forever all my right, 
title & interest in the above estate witness my hand and seal this 11th day 
of Dec. 1834 signed in presence

& George Ward		}	Onslow County in Court August term 1835 Then 
was the foregoing bill of sale proved by the oath of David W. Simmons and 
ordered to be Registered.
