The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Jacksonville. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. Mrs. Capps was married to the late Linza C. Capps. Survivors include three sons, L.C. Capps, Jr. and Maurice C. Capps both, of Jacksonvile, and Cecil G. Capps of Wilmington, a daughter Ellen Covil of Jacksonville, two foster sisters, Grace Taylor of Wilmington and Lettie Prescott of Jacksonville, two foster brothers, Wiley Taylor of Sneads Ferry and Joe Taylor of Newport, eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville and at other times at 459 College St. Additional Comments: Ellen Lee Thomas was the daughter of Charles and Laura L. Thomas, and the granddaughter of Marquis D. Thomas of Richlands. One record says she was born 28 Sep 1896. Her brother, Charles L. Thomas is buried in the West Morton Cemetery near Swansboro.
