This Indenture maid this Thirteenth Day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Two. Between William MILLS, Senr. of Onslow County and province of North Carolina for me of the one part and his Two sons William MILLS, Junr. and Joshua MILLS of the other part. Witnesseth that I the said William MILLS for and In consideration of the some of fifty Pounds of good and Lawfull money of this Province to him in hand paid By the said William MILLS and Joshua MILLS fully and faithfully a Receipt whereof he hath Given Granted Granted Bargained Sold Alienates Conveys and Confirmed unto the said William MILLS and Joshua MILLS there heirs and assigns for Ever one Certain Messuage Tract or Parcel of Land Situate on the North Side of the Northwest of New River in Onslow County Beginning at a Red Oak Standing By the swamp side and Runing from thence North 60 Degrees E 140 poles to a pine thence N 20 W 224 poles to a gum standing on the main swamp thence Down the Various Courses of the Swamp to the first station as By Patent by Gaboral JOHNSTON and Granted to William MILLS, bearing Date the 20th of April 1745. Containing By Estimation one Hundred and fifty acres Be it the same more or less and the said -Joshua MILLS to Have the plantation Where I now lives and as far as the Oakey Bottom Between my said Plantation and my son William MILLS and the upper Part of my Land from the Okkey Bottom upwards? I Dispose of onto William MILLS, Junr. Be it the same. To Have and Hold the above said Demised Premises With all appertainences to the same Belonging or in anywise Appertaining With all houses Out houses Orchards trees Woods Warters Ways Minerals heriditements to the same belong or in anywise appertaining. I the said William MILLS, Senr. do freely Give up my Right and Title that is Before mentioned to my two sons William MILLS and Joshua MILLS they and there heirs and assigns to them the said William MILLS and Joshua MILLS forever in in as full and clear manner to all intents and purposes as the most Land in the Law could advise otherwise? the said William MILLS do Covenant and Agree to and with William MILLS and Joshua MILLS his heirs administrators & assigns & every of them that Before the Ensealing and Delivering of these Presents that I am the true and Lawfull Owner of the same above Demised Premises and have in myself Good Right and full power to dispose of the same in manner aforesaid in Witness Whereof I have here unto Set my hand and fixed my seal this the Day and Year first above Written.
