"She was a kind and affectionate wife, a fond mother and a friend to all."

Additional Comments:
She was Kitty Caroline "Carrie" Sanders Haskins.  She was the daughter of Isaac 
Newton Sanders, Jr. and Sarah Caroline Burns.  Her first husband was Benjamin 
Haskins, by which she had three children: Sarah Caroline, Kate R. and David B. 
Haskins.  

Widowed in 1877, she remarried the following year, to Robert White Freshwater.  
They had three daughters: Thalia Alma, Alice J., and Caroline Sanders 
Freshwater.  Two of her children did not live to adulthood: David B. Haskins 
and Alice J. Freshwater.
