WARD CO. H 3 N.C. CAV C.S.A. Dr. RICHARD W. WARD Feb. 6, 1838 Jan. 30, 1918 Additional Comments: Richard Williams Ward was the son of George J. Ward and Ann Humphrey. His siblings included: Agnes H., Daniel C., George Robert, and Edgar Ward. The Ward Plantation was located at Winona (the present day Verona Community) which became part of the Camp Lejeune Marine Base. Dr. Ward was married to Eliza Jane Foy, their children being: Annie R., Eliza S. and Eva J. Ward. Both Annie R. (Ward) Murrill and Eva J. (Ward) Loy are buried in the Ward Cemetery. Eliza S. (Ward) Morton is buried in Bellevue Cemetery in Wilmington, NC.
