Onslow County, NC - Benjamin Ennett Exemption, 1786

The following entry was found with the 1786 Onslow County Tax lists 
microfilm at the NC State Archives:

July 7th 1787 – I hereby Certify that some short time after the birth of 
Benjamin Ennet Son of Joseph & Margaret Ennet, Joseph Ennet requested me 
to write down in one of his Books the time of the Birth of the said Benjamin 
which I did which was the 26th day of February in the year of our Lord 1766 
which I am well convinced is the exact time of his birth this account. This 
day did take from the Book wherein I wrote down the ages of all the Children 
of the said Joseph & Margarett Ennet --------Robert Snead.

The Court exempts the above Benj’a Ennett from paying any tax for the year 1786.
