This 16 day of April, 1926. N G Benton [his signature] Clerk Superior Court of Onslow County. [end of document] Additional Comments: David Sanders Aman was the son of James and Elizabeth Aman. One record states that he was born 01 Apr 1833 and his date of death was 06 Apr 1926. He married Ruth Jane, the daughter of West Morton and Rachel Henderson, on 04 Jan 1859, at the West Morton residence. Have found no children from this marriage. David S. Aman, his wife, Ruth Jane Morton, her sister, Adella C. Morton and Adella C.’s husband, Lewis G. Thomas are buried next to each other in the Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery. D. S. Thomas was the son of Lewis G. Thomas and Adella C Morton. Adella C Morton was also a daughter of West Morton and Rachel Henderson. David Sanders Thomas married Beulah B. Caton in 1907. I assume that Viola P. Womble was the daughter of John L. Provow and Susan Ann Morton (a daughter of West and Rachel Morton). According to the Will of Martha Jane Freeman 12th May 1923, her daughter, Kittie V. was married to A. W. Askew. The J. E. Freeman mentioned would probably be John E. Freeman, the brother of Kittie V.
