Onslow County, NC - Will of Isaac Charlescraft, 1817 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of Isaac Charlescraft Onslow Co., North Carolina In the name of God Amen. I Isaac C. Craft of the state of N. Carolina and county of Onslow being very sick and low in body but of perfect mind and memory blessed be God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that is once appointed for all men to die do make ordain and constirute this my last will and testament. First I recomend my soul into the hands of Almighty God, and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent christian manner not doubting but at the general resurection I shall receive the same again by the power of God that gave it and as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise & dispose of the same in the following manner and form. First I give to my son DANIEL C. CRAFT all that tract of land lying to the eastward of Alexd. Neules? patent line known by the name of Frenches Place and the remainder of my land to be equally divided between my two smaller sons, DURANT, and ANTHONY, to be divided from the river to the head line of the patent and Anthony to have the place I now live on. Durant the middle piece including my upper plantation. Reserving only my wife SALLY CCraft life or widow hood in all my land. All the rest of my property I leave to be equally divided between my wife & FANNY Huggins and all my children, my wifes part to be to her during her widowhood, then to be equally divided between her own children, DANIEL CCraft & NANCY CCraft, NAOMA CCraft, DURANT CCraft, & ANTHONY CCraft. I likewise nominate and appoint my son DANIEL CCraft executor of this my last will and testament with William French & Edward Graham of Craven Co. Executors in writing whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 16th day of March 1817.
