I Thomas Henderson of the County of Onslow and State of North Carolina - Being of Sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following that is to say, First.. That my executors (hereinafter named) shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my family and relations, and pay all funeral expences together with all of my Just debts howsoever and to whomsoever owing, out of the moneys that may first come into his hands as apart or parcel of my estate Item 1st I lone to my beloved wife Sarah Ann Henderson during her natural life my entire Tract of Land lying on the North Side of Starkies Creek. I also lone to my beloved wife Sarah Ann all of my mules and also my entire stock of cattle Sheep and hogs, also all of my work oxen together with all of my carts & Buggy and wagons and all of my farming utensils, also all of my Household and Kitchen furniture to have and hold unto her The said Sarah Ann Henderson for and during her natural life - Item 2nd I give, bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Sarah Ann Henderson my two dark ponies also my Rockaway and double Harness to have and to hold unto her the said Sarah Ann Henderson her heirs and assigns forever in fee simple - I also give to my beloved wife all of my provisions, consisting of corn Bacon, pork, potatoes, wheat and rice that may be on hand at my decease to have unto her the said Sarah Ann Henderson forever in fee simple - also the groing Crop if any Item 3rd I give and bequeath to my Sons and daughters, namely Edmond H. Henderson, Nancy Hutson, Cassa A. Coston, Hillory E. Henderson's Child by the name of Julia F. Henderson, Thomas B. Henderson, Stephen Henderson, Elizabeth Mills and John Henderson all of the property, real and personal that is loned to my be loved wife Sarah Ann Henderson named in Item first, or so much of said property as may be on hand at my wife's Sarah Ann death, my will and desire is that all the afore said loned property to be Equally divided among all of my afore said children & Grand child unto them their heirs and assigns forever in fee simple and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends E. H. Coston and John D. It is filled out, signed, and includes the date of the will and indicates that the witnesses appeared and the executors qualified. It is signed by A. C. Huggins, Probate Judge. There is no date.
