In the Name of God Amen:  I Jethro Mashborne in Onslow County In the province
of North Carolina Being Sick and Weakly in Body but of perfect of mind and
Memory and Calling to mind the Inortality of my Body and Knowing its appointed
for all men once to Dy Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament

I give unto my Well Beloved Wife one Negro man Named Essex and [these next
words are in the fold of the page and unreadable] I also lend to her one Negro
girl Named Violet Dureing her Widowhood and two horses for the plantation and
one young Mare and after ward the Negro Girl Violet She and her Increase To my
well Beloved Daughters Mary and Sarah Mashborne to be Eaqualy Devideed Betwixt
them Both to Them and Theire heirs and I also Lend to my Well Beloved Wife the
plantation Whereon Now I Live Dureing her Widowhood and I also Give the
plantation whereon I Now Live to my Well Beloved Son Edward Mashborne to him
and his heirs for Ever I also Give unto him one Negro Woman Naimed Cate She
and her Increase for Ever and also one Negro Boye Nameed Peter to Him and his
Heirs for Ever and I also Give unto my Well Beloved Son Edward Mashborne a
Stock of Cattle that Henry aulen [?] Has Now In Keeping them and Theire
Increase and one Young Mair and Colt and also one Feather Bed and Furnitude to
it one Iron pott holding about Seven Gallons and also one puter Dish and 1
Puter Bason and 3 puter plates and the Rest of the Puter to be Eaqualy Devided
Betwixt my Well Beloved Wife and Two Daughters Mary and Sarah Mashborne and
also 2 Iron pots holding about foure Gallons a peice to my Two Well Beloved
Daughters Each of Them one a peice Mary & Sarah Mashborne and also Each of
Them a Mare [?] a peice and also I Give to my Wife one Feather Bed and
Furnitude and also to my  2 Daughters Mary and Sarah Mashborne Each of Them a
Feather bed and Furnitude to them and also To my two Daughters Each of Them
Five Cows and Calves a peice Them and Theire Increase

And After all my Just Debts is paid all Cattle and horses hogs Sheep and all
the Rest of my Stock That is Not mentioned in my Will to my Wife and for the
Use of the Raiseing of my Children also I Nomanate and appoint my Well Beloved
Wife and Charles Cox and Daniel Mashbone to be my  Exceutrix and Executors of
this my Last Will and Testament Ratifying this  -------------- to be my Last
will and Testament in Witness Whereof I hereunto put my hand and Seall this
17th Day of December one Thousand Seven hundred and Fifty Two  ________ before

Meltons on the N. East) for the County of Onslow on the first Tuesday in 
January 1753 - Before Jn Starkey Esq'r & the Rest of the Justices - The within 
Will of Jethro Marshburn dec'd was Prov'd by the Oath of William Whaley & 
Eliz'h Parker - And, Susanna Mashburn Cha's Cox & Daniel Mashburn the Exor's 
therein Named, Qualified by taken the Usual Oaths - Order'd that they have 
Letters Testamentory
