Onslow County, NC - Will of Richard Taylor 1891 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of Richard Taylor 1891 In The Name Of God Amen I Richard Taylor of the County of Onslow and State of North Carolina being weak in body but of sound mind, memory, and understanding praise be God for the same, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following: I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Malvinia Taylor during her natural lifetime all the following described piece or parcel of land viz: bounded by a portion of Fulwoods Creek and Beglins Creek from its mouth up to the mouth of a small branch George W. McGowans line then up said branch eastwardly with McGowans to a marked black gum at the end of a ditch, then with McGowans other line No. 60 E 17.1/2 poles to Woodman Shepards line then So. 29 E. to a post standing westwardly from the house wherein I now live, then with Shepards other line to a post in a pond near the closer end of the big ditch then down with said ditch to Fulwoods Creek containing thirty acres more or less, to have and to hold the same during her natural lifetime: And at the death of my beloved wife Malvinia Taylor I the said Richard Taylor do give and devise unto my three Daughters viz: Mary Eliza Hill, Celisia Jane Brown, Sarah D. Millis and to my two grand children Minnie Lee Jenkins and Rutha Jenkins all of the above described premises to have and to hold the same in common stock forever as their own right property provided however that my two above named grand children viz: Minnie Lee Jenkins and Rutha Jenkins shall both of them only constitute or count as one heir in the above described premises Item: I give unto my beloved wife Malvinia Taylor all of my perishable estate personal property, to have and to use during her lifetime and at my said wifes death I give and devise all of the said perishable estate that may be on hand at her death, to my three above named daughters and my two grand children viz: Mary Eliza Hill, Celistia Jane Brown, Sarah D. Millis and Minnie Lee Jenkins and Rutha Jenkins the two last named to constitute one heir to be equally divided among the four heirs, heir and heir alike. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend Winslow Wilkins my lawful Executor to all intends and purposes to execute this my Last Will and Testament according to the true intent and meaning thereof and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking and declaring utterally void all other Wills and Testaments heretofore by me made.
