First I desire that all burial expenses be paid. Secondly, I lend to my wife Jane Aman the plantation where I now live with all the improvements appurtaining thereto supposed to contain fifty acres of land during her natural life then to be left to my son William Aman. Also, I give to wife the mare that I now own, one cow & calf,, one bed & furniture, one woollen wheel & Cords also her negro girl Barbary. I give to my son Philip Aman fifty acres of land adjoining the land he now owns. I give to my son David Aman's two sons, Thomas & Briton Aman, fifty acres of land where David Aman now lives. I give to my son Briton Aman fifty acres of land where he now lives. I give to my son William Aman fifty acres of land adjoining the plantation that he is to have after the death of my wife. I hereby give to my two negroes, man Jarrot & wench Silvia, their freedom after my death but to remain under the care of my son William Aman for their safety & protection. Also, I desire that the remaining part of my property be equally divided my daughters namely, my daughter Susannah Ellis, my daughter Sabry Willys, my daughter Zilly Pitman, my daughter Sereny (?) Pitman. I give to my son in law Abram Koonce one shilling sterling. I give to my sons in law Joseph Hawkins & Dedery (?) Aman, an equal share of the above property. I give to my sons in law Thomas King & John Coston one shilling sterling to each of them in right of their wives as I consider they have had their part heretofore. Lastly, for the executing my will, I constitute, make & appoint my son William Aman & David Jenkins to be my executors to this my last will & testament & I do hereby declare this to be my last will in the presence of these the undersigners in witness I do hereunto set my hand & seal this 20th day of September in the year of our Lord & Saviour 1828. Then was the execution of the foregoing will of Philip Aman duly proved in open court by the oath of James Langly & Anthony H.
