I lend to Elizabeth Morton the girl by the name of Mary, during her natural life, or as long as she lives without a husband and at her decease, to my daughter Charlotte Dickson. And the remainder of my estate converting as follows…. Three hundred and thirty acres of land, three negroes and stock of every description, household and kitchen furniture, which I also lend to my dear daughter Charlotte Dickson, during her natural existence, and at her decease, I then give to the lawful begotten heirs of her body, the estate before lent, with all the increase thereof, if she leaves any heirs & if not then I leave the whole of the property with her the said Charlotte Dickson, then to leave the property as she doth see proper. Wherein I nominate, constitute and appoint sole executrix of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this November the first in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight. State of North Carolina, Onslow County, in court Feby Term 1832. Then was the will of Francis Chambers offered for probate which was admitted upon the testimony of Daniel Gallentin (?) & Clarisma (?)
